Our Pastoral Care Ministry provides care and support for hundreds of people through visits to their homes, nursing homes, and the hospital.
For more information, please contact Director of Pastoral Care Sue Cadwallader at 724-421-9340 or [email protected] for the following (unless otherwise noted):
Anointing of the Sick: We can arrange for you or a family member to receive Anointing of the Sick because of illness or an upcoming surgery.
Anointing of the Dying: If someone is dying and wishes to receive Last Rites, please call 724-996-9760. (This 24-hour, 7-days-a-week number is for sacramental emergencies only.)
Communion Calls to Homebound: We can schedule someone to bring you or a loved one Holy Communion if you are unable to attend church.
Communion Calls to Butler Memorial Hospital: If you or a loved one is admitted to Butler Memorial Hospital, please let us know so we can visit and bring you communion. The hospital no longer notifies us when a Catholic patient is admitted.
DivorceCare: This Christ-centered, video-based support group ministry meets on Tuesdays from 6 to 7:30pm in St. Peter Hall (in downstairs classroom).
The weekly program is for people hurting from the pain of separation or divorce, many of whom did not want or expect the breakup. It is designed to encourage reconciliation whenever possible.
Participants will be asked to contribute $20 for a workbook.
For information and to register, go to DivorceCare.org or contact Sue Cadwallader, director of pastoral care, at 724-421-9340 or [email protected]
GriefShare: If you have experienced the death of a loved one, we invite you to be part of a program—GriefShare—that offers support, conversation, and comfort. The group meets on Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30pm at St. Peter Hall and explores different topics each week. For info or to sign up, contact Sue Cadwallader or go to GriefShare.org to register.
Volunteers Needed: If you would like to become a Eucharistic Minister and take communion to the homebound or if you would like to be a part of the hospital ministry, please contact Sue. All volunteers must have their Safe Environment clearances.
Prayers Needed: Please pray for the sick and homebound in our area.
