Interested in going on a life-changing trip this summer?
We have just four slots left for our mission trip to Catholic Heart Workcamp in Richmond, Virginia, from June 18 to 24. The trip is open to youth who will be entering the eighth grade in the fall of 2023 through teens who will graduate from high school in 2023.
We also need one more adult chaperone who is 21 years old or older. This trip not only changes the lives of teens, but it also transforms the hearts of those who attend with them.
If you want to go on the trip, please contact Bryanna Urso, Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries, at [email protected] as soon as possible. All students must fill out the following registration form to attend the trip: https://heartworkcamp.com/richmond-camper-paperwork/
The total cost of the trip is $700 per student – the parish will cover $400 for teens who are parishioners.
Parishioner teens are expected to pay the remaining $300, starting with a $150 nonrefundable deposit that must be paid within two weeks of registration. The additional $150 is due by April 30. Financial aid is available.
Non-parishioner teens who want to go on the mission trip are responsible for the $150 non-refundable deposit; the remaining $550 cost of the trip is the responsibility of that teen’s parish.
All mission trip participants also are required to read, sign and return the 2023 Mission Trip Financial Commitment form and return it to the St. Conrad or St. Paul office within two weeks of signing up.
The mission trip will be a full week of listening to, learning from, and loving the people we meet in Richmond. We will be painting, cleaning, doing yard work, building handicapped-accessible ramps, and other simple work projects within the community
Everyone on the mission trip who is age 18 or older must have Safe Environment clearances. Please contact Safe Environment Coordinator Georgene Natali at 724-482-2690 ext 223 or [email protected] for information about clearances.
In addition to communicating about the mission trip through our bulletin, website, and Facebook, we also are using Flocknote to send text messages and emails. Please sign up by texting BUTLER to 84576 so you can receive notifications on upcoming meetings, fundraisers, etc. Click here for further instructions on signing up for Flocknote.
