The Funeral Luncheon Ministry is committed to providing comfort and peace to families after the Funeral Mass or Blessing Service of their loved one.
The ministry reaches out to families by preparing a meal served in the comfortable surroundings of our parish halls, allowing time for relaxation and fellowship with others.
When a Funeral Mass or Blessing Service is over, people are often left feeling alone, bereft and not sure what to do or where to go. Many tend to stand around and look for some sort of support or guidance, not wanting to just "pack up and leave".
We hope that we can be an essential part of the funeral and grieving process by giving family and friends a place to go that allows them to talk, bond and share feelings and stories about their loved ones.
This ministry is open to all who would like to volunteeer their time in service to those who are grieving.
Duties may include preparing and / or serving food, setting tables, praying for the family, making a dessert, shopping beforehand and so much more! Everyone can do little things that together make big things happen.
